Current Responsibility
Marios is a Director and Actuary of Warren FAM and responsible for business development in Europe (Malta, Cyprus, Greece), Middle East and international captives financial centers (Channel Islands, and Isle of Man). He is acting as appointed and consulting actuary for several international insurers and captives companies as well as managing the actuarial functions of other insurers.
Experience
Marios, has a wide range of actuarial experience in captives and insurance companies having worked in several countries and has advised clients across Europe and Middle East.
He specializes in loss reserving, capital modeling and pricing issues. He currently advises companies, as project manager/director, on risk-based Solvency 2 regulatory regime issues - which include comprehensive gap analyses and assessment reviews on technical (data and risk modeling), risk management and corporate governance issues.
Marios has a number of years of experience in the captives insurance business having worked in Guernsey for almost five years, where he monitored insurance business developments in all major captives jurisdictions. He is consulting actuary to a number of captive insurance companies.
In the past Marios has worked as actuarial consultant in several UK and European international actuarial consultancies (including Bacon & Woodrow) where he has undertaken numerous insurance actuarial projects across several markets.
