Current Responsibility

Paul is the Managing Director of the company and is responsible for the strategic business development of the company in Europe and the Middle East.

Experience

Paul acts across a broad range of actuarial and risk management issues for companies in Europe and the Middle East, and is known as a specialist in transition economies. Whilst having a number of insurance, captive insurance and pension clients he is the actuarial and general consultant to the Insurance Commission of Jordan and has also acted as the actuarial advisor to the Romanian Insurance Commission on two EU funded projects. He has also carried out regulatory work for the Ministry of Economy in Lebanon and the Central Bank of Bahrain.

Paul is also no stranger to the off-shore centres having worked in Guernsey for 3 years with Sun Alliance and then as a consultant for Generali Worldwide. Whilst acting as a management consultant in Malta he established a new bankassurance company for the largest bank in Malta, and worked in conjunction with the regulator to establish the appointed actuary system.

In the first part of his career Paul worked in major insurance companies as a senior actuary and product manager for the Prudential and Sun Alliance. He also worked in the European Headquarters of AIG responsible for European financial reporting, product development and training European actuaries in 10 countries.
